This article presents a broad overview of challenges and solutions of translation in the pharmaceutical industry.

Pharmaceutical corporations face several challenges when rolling out their content for a wide range of countries. Without proper linguistic organisation, problems frequently include:

These problems act like obstacles standing in the way of the client’s success in making help available to their patients, in the language of their choice. Therefore, it is important that the client chooses a Language Service Provider that has extensive knowledge and know-how in the medical field.

At TransAnd, we understand our client’s aspirations to advance their medical knowledge and industry breakthroughs, for example in patient support programs. As such, the following guidelines orient our translation and localisation of medical texts and content:

Our client-oriented strategies ensure that the client is at the centre of the process for the entirety of the project.

2022 has been a sprint on multiple levels. As a company, TransAnd worked on launching ourselves on the market. Our motto for our first year was “Quality has impact”.

Here are some of our key processes:

Two highlights crowned our first year. The first was the translation and linguistic advisory of Saudi Arabia’s main ad campaign. The campaign featured Lionel Messi. For this, we were happy to advise Dubai agency And_Us on the translation of website material, as well as audio and film cuts integrated to the campaign. We offered one-on-one, on-call support, and expertise in the ad translation sector in 11 languages. Check the project details here.

The second highlight was our collaboration with the Canadian Centre for Architecture /Centre Canadien d’Architecture. The CCA is a Montréal-based architecture museum that studies how public concern is at the core of architecture. For this project, the CCA sollicitated TransAnd for the transcription and translation of Lebanese Canadian filmmaker and Emerging Curator Joyce Joumaa’s films. Joyce’s project revolves around architect Oscar Nieyemer’s structures located in Tripoli, Lebanon, and explores architecture in its failed state in parallel to Lebanon’s economic crisis and collapse. We organised calls, videoconferences, and exchanged lenghtly about targeted solutions that help Joyce navigate her options. Check the project details here.

Our motto for 2023: Be Consistent — endeavouring to provide top-quality work constantly, consistently.
